Maria Andersson is docent in literature and senior lecturer at the Department of Culture and Aesthetics at Stockholm University. Her research interests include nineteenth-century literature, gender and age studies, citizenship studies and serial literature. Among her recent publications is a monograph on Swedish literature for girls, Framtidens kvinnor (2020), and articles in her current research project on Svensk läraretidnings förlag and the book series Barnbiblioteket Saga.
